I am delighted to be participating in my first blog hop!
Love the new catalog, especially all the lovely DSP so it should come as no surprise that this card uses 3 different ones.
I started with Peekaboo Peach card stock cut to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″. To that I added my favorite design from Oh So Lovely (the colors in it set the colorway for the rest of the card). I then cut a section from the Just Add Color DSP and fussy cut to leave the top portions of the teapot and cups open. Since I mixed up my patterns, I decided to mix up my coloring mediums too. I started with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol for the base coloring of each and then added Copic alcohol markers for the floral images – I know, radical, right? Looked great but decided to add Glossy Accents to lift the floral images even more and love the dimension that gave them.
Once all was dry, I used Tombow to adhere the focal panel to the card. The sentiment I chose is from the Climbing Orchid stamp set – just love that font – which is stamped on a stitched oval. It kinda looked naked sitting all by itself though so I grabbed a small piece of the 3rd DSP I used and I’ll bet you can’t guess which one….it’s Birthday Memories! That is, it’s some of the grass from the largest print in that group of paper. Gotta think outside the box sometimes LOL!
That finished the outside of the card so moved on to the inside.
Sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and is stamped onto Whisper White. I used more of the grass from Birthday Memories for the top and the bottom and really like how crisp it looks. This was such a fun card to make!
