Creativity overload!

We have done so much traveling that I haven’t had much time to craft (no wonder I have been grumpy LOL).  So this past weekend I locked myself in my craft room and had lots of fun as well as learned something new!

My first project was a scrapbook layout.  This was a totally new method of crafting for me but I have wanted to do something with the pics of my DIY wedding for years.  Pink and white and floral all over, just like our decor on the big day!

Then I moved on to a couple of 3D projects – the more I do these, the more I really enjoy them!  The penguin box was inspired by a crafter who made lovely treat boxes using the Windows Thinlits dies.  And since I was up to my elbows in Hershey’s and Reese’s this seemed like the way to go.  The second project – a lovely post-it note holder with slot for short pen – is one I make frequently.  They are perfect as little gifts and Christmas is a great time for them.

And you know I couldn’t leave my craft room without making at least a few cards, especially since I just received the Remarkable You stamp set.  This first one uses the calla lilies against a die cut background (yup, not even winter and I am ready for spring).

Of course, Ms. Bella had to make an appearance.  This is such a fun birthday card and gave me another opportunity to use my much loved Stampin’ Blends!

This last card is just for me – again using an image from the Remarkable You stamp set.  I love magnolias, especially the pink ones you see in spring on the tulip magnolia trees.  I also used a different card size than usual – tall and skinny.  I love it!

Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing how I spent my weekend.  Hope you found a little time amidst all the hustle and bustle of the season to sit down and decompress through crafting.  If you would like instructions on any of the above, leave a comment and I will be happy to do that one in an individual post.

Ta for now!
