Hi y’all! It’s time for another Facebook Live Beginners Series tonight and wanted to give you a sneak peek of the card we will be making. It is more complex than the first few we have done but still very easy. We will be covering using an embossing folder, die cutting and inking techniques. It’s going to be a fun one!
Hope you will join me over on my Facebook Page at 8 pm EDT – just click here to get to it. Talk to you then!
My garden says spring is here even if the calendar doesn’t – and what a great time to celebrate it with the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!
This month’s card is filled with florals and can be used for many different occasions – birthdays, get well, encouragement and (my favorite) no reason at all!
The card base is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″. I then cut a piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper (144185) on the diagonal for some interest. To add a bit of separation and depth, I cut a piece of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper (145601) with a scalloped die from the Layering Squares Framelits (141708) and attached it to the bottom edge using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755). Before attaching this to the card base, I stamped the group of x’s from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set (143940) inking it in Marina Mist ink (126962) all along the bottom third of the card base. Once this was done, the floral panel was then attached to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I then turned my attention to the sentiment panel. For this, I used the 2nd largest square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372) to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics (137154) stamp set in Always Artichoke ink (126972). The outline floral image from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set (143940) was stamped with Peekaboo Peach ink (141398) for the flower and Lemon Lime Twist (144086) for the stem. I then inked the filler stamp with Peekaboo Peach and stamped on top of the outline image.
Once all the stamping was done, I cut another piece of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper using a scalloped die from the Layering Squares Framelits and attached the sentiment panel to it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This was then placed on top of the floral panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430). The last step was to add a few Enamel Shapes Subtles (141679).

Hi everyone! Finally made it back from Florida just in time for our Facebook Live Saturday Anything Goes series. Today, I show you how to make a lovely birthday box using the Cake Soiree bundle and DSP. All of the materials used and instructions are in the video below.
Should you need any of the supplies to make this project, I would love to be your demonstrator. You can order by clicking the Shop Now button in the upper left corner or by clicking here.
Hope you enjoy the video – if you have any questions about making the project just drop me a line in the comment section below. Have a great rest of your weekend!
Finally got my new camera thanks to hubby so hopefully you will see an improvement in the video quality. Was all set to try it out for tomorrow’s Saturday Anything Goes FB live BUT hubby and I have to go to Florida and will be leaving tomorrow. So there will be no Saturday Anything Goes FB live tomorrow.
Sorry to be so last minute in letting you know but we just found out ourselves. Am taking my video equipment with me and will try for Tuesday night’s Beginner Series but will depend on if the hotel has high speed wifi. Hope you all have a great weekend!
