Blends Storage Box

How about a cute and portable Blends holder with plenty of space for the new colors and the returning ones? Last night on our Facebook Live, I showed how to make one with just a few supplies.  And, because it has to be pretty as well as functional, we decorated it with some of the beautiful Garden Impressions DSP.  I know you’re going to love it!

Make Their Holiday Shopping Easier!

Do the people in your life complain that you are a hard person to buy for?  I know, mine do but now that I am a crafting fanatic, shopping has become so much easier for them.   And, I’m about to make it easier for your shoppers too!

You know I love the new Blends!  The more I use them, the more I realize what a great coloring tool they are.  Everyone who likes to color needs a set and Christmas is the perfect time to ask for them.  And, here’s an easy way to drop a large hint about what you really want for Christmas.

Save the below pic and print off a dozen or twenty copies to give to anyone who might be scratching their head wondering what to get you.  I have been known to put suggestions for my Christmas gifts under hubby’s coffee, in his sock drawer, under the sun visor in the car and the always popular taped to his bathroom mirror.  Subtle, no?

Just tell them all the info they need to get you this fabulous Christmas gift (website address and stock #) is on the pic.  When they get to my blog tell them to click on the Shop Online with Me button in the upper right and it will take them directly to my store.  There they can enter the stock # and complete their purchase.

And if you’ve been really good (and of course you have) remind them that along with the Blends you will need something to color – perhaps the Remarkable You stamp set (#139894) or Just Add Color Designer Series Paper (#144180)?

Easy peasy and no running around on their lunch hour fighting traffic and throngs of frenzied shoppers. Now you are armed with the info to help make your holiday shopper’s life stress free when they are searching for just that right gift for you.

I hope Santa fills your stocking with the Blends and other coloring goodies which you will enjoy throughout the year.  Ta for now!

New Stampin’ Blends!

I love bringing you new product releases, and this one may just be among my favorites!  If you’ve been waiting for Stampin’ Up! to add alcohol markers to its product line of coloring mediums – the wait is over!  Introducing new Stampin’ Blends!

I am in LOVE with these easy to use markers.  The ink flows smoothly, blends beautifully and they are really easy to use!  I have tried other alcohol markers but the learning curve was always very steep – what colors go with what?  Stampin’ Up! has made this learning curve as easy as coasting downhill on a bicycle.  Each of the colors comes in two shades, for example Old Olive light and Old Olive dark, so there’s no scratching your head to try and figure out what will blend together.  And not only do they blend so beautifully, but you can build layers to create even more shades.  Let me show you what I mean…

In the picture below I used Cherry Cobbler light and dark to color the presents.  Look at the great shading you can get!  And Bella is colored with Bronze and Ivory.  If you look closely at Bella’s ear and face, you can actually make out 4 different shades of color – all from just those two markers and the color lifter.  I will be featuring more about coloring using the Blends when I post this card later but wanted to show what you can achieve using the new Stampin’ Blends.

Stampin’ Blends will be available for ordering on November 1st – just a couple of weeks away!  You can purchase them individually, in packs of 2 (light and dark of each color) or the entire set along with Bronze, Ivory and a color lifter (great for pushing back color that has escaped outside the lines).

There is a Color Me Happy Project Kit and Color Me Happy stamp set that will be available only while supplies last, but the Stampin’ Blends markers will be available through the upcoming catalogs.  And, Stampin’ Up! will have a series of great YouTube videos on how to use the new Blends so stay tuned for more!

As always, if you have any questions about the Blends or any of the other great products by Stampin’ Up! please leave me a comment and I will be happy to answer them.  If you don’t have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours so drop me a note below.  Ta for now!
