Ever wonder what to do with those copper tins you ordered? Today we will make a winter-themed card set that fits nicely inside the tin. And, we can’t have a nekkid tin so we will decorarte it as well. This will make a great gift for that special friend and because it isn’t too girly, would work for a man as well as a woman! So grap a cuppa and let’s get decorating!
Here’s a picture of the finished set:

How about a cute and portable Blends holder with plenty of space for the new colors and the returning ones? Last night on our Facebook Live, I showed how to make one with just a few supplies. And, because it has to be pretty as well as functional, we decorated it with some of the beautiful Garden Impressions DSP. I know you’re going to love it!
You can see the step by step in this video:

Statement Of My Heart Stamp Set
It’s my last day in Texas but before I head out to the airport I wanted to post the video from our Tuesday Beginner Series Facebook Live session. Working with supplies from the March Paper Pumpkin kit we created a lovely Mother’s Day card. If you weren’t able to join us, you can view the video below.
This kit has so many possibilities for alternative cards that it was hard to come up with just one! I hope you enjoy it.

Let me know if you have any questions and have fun!
I don’t know about you but I am always hunting for a piece of paper to jot down a note or phone number at my desk. I swear those little note pads hide from me! In the hopes of resolving that little problem, I decided to corral them in a cute little desk caddy and this is what it looks like.
This was so simple to make that I can’t believe I haven’t tried it before. I won’t go into all the scoring details – there are plenty of great YouTube videos out there for you to peruse, so I will just concentrate on the materials used.
I started with three pieces of Old Olive cardstock which were cut and scored to appropriate measurements (you only need one sheet of cardstock for all 3 pieces). The first formed the box in the front, the second formed a little pen holder tucked inside the box and the third became the easel stand which gives the caddy stability. No way this baby is tipping over, even with a heavy pen and two note pads inside.
Once all the assembly of the base was completed I concentrated on the fun part – decorating with my favorite DSP! This is from the Delightful Daisy series and happens to be a sheet I was just never sure about how to use – seemed a bit too busy for a card but turns out it is perfect for this project. I glued a panel on the inside and one on the outside using Tombow glue. Then I stamped 3 daisies from the Daisy Delight stamp set in So Saffron ink on Whisper White. The center bit uses Pear Pizzaz ink to give a bit of contrast in the greens. I used the Daisy punch to cut them out and then layered them one on top of the other using Tombow glue. I wanted a bit of separation between the flower and the DSP so I used the Pretty Label punch on Whisper White and sponged the edges of the label with Pear Pizzaz. This was glued onto the front and then the flower added with a dimensional. And that completed the decoration! Easy Peasy and now I have a way to corral my note-taking supplies in one place.
I hope you will give this project a try – it makes a nice little gift for teachers when you send the critters back to school and takes less than an hour to complete. So head on over to my store (click the link in the top right) and if you need any help on finding the YouTube video or have questions about ordering supplies, just leave me a comment below. I would love to assist you (beats sitting here watching the dust accumulate LOL)! Ta for now!
