A Blessed Christmas – For the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

blog header

This month’s blog hop is all about Christmas and I know you are going to enjoy all the fabulous cards you will see as you hop through it.  I decided to go very traditional with mine as far as content – it’s all about Christmas blessings.

Bethlehem w

I started with a side-folding A2 card (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″) using Whisper White card stock.  I then used the second largest oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Big Shot  to cut out the center portion of the card as well as a piece of Dapper Denim card stock to use as the focal point on the inside.

Using the Night in Bethlehem stamp set, I inked up the narrower set of dwellings in Night of Navy and stamped it in the lower section of the Dapper Denim oval.  The star is from the Bethlehem Edgelits Dies and was cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper using the Big Shot.  This was glued flat onto the Dapper Denim piece using Tombow Liquid Glue.

Next, I stamped the inside greeting (again from the Night in Bethlehem stamp set) onto the bottom inside using Smoky Slate ink.  The smaller star is from the Star of Light stamp set and was stamped twice on the inside using the same Smoky Slate ink.  I then glued the Dapper Denim piece to the inside of the card with Tombow Liquid Glue.

For the front of the card I again stamped the small star twice and then heat embossed the sentiment (from Night of Bethlehem) using Versamark and Stampin’ Up! Gold embossing powder.  I used a scrap piece of Whisper White to stamp the shepherd and lamb in Soft Suede ink and then used Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.  This was cut out with the matching die from the Bethlehem Edgelits Dies and popped up with Stampin’ Up! mini dimensionals.  And that finished the card off.

I hope you enjoyed this card and will give it a try.  If you need any help with it just pop a comment below.  You can order the materials by clicking on the Shop Now button in the upper right corner.  Now to continue the fabulous hop, click on the Next blog button below or the Previous blog button if you started with me.  You can also click on any of the links in the list to go to a specific person’s blog post.  Ta for now!
