Springtime Wishes – for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

My garden says spring is here even if the calendar doesn’t – and what a great time to celebrate it with the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!

This month’s card is filled with florals and can be used for many different occasions – birthdays, get well, encouragement and (my favorite) no reason at all!

March blog hop w

The card base is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″.  I then cut a piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper (144185) on the diagonal for some interest.  To add a bit of separation and depth, I cut a piece of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper (145601) with a scalloped die from the Layering Squares Framelits (141708) and attached it to the bottom edge using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755).  Before attaching this to the card base, I stamped the group of x’s from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set (143940) inking it in Marina Mist ink (126962) all along the bottom third of the card base.  Once this was done, the floral panel was then attached to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I then turned my attention to the sentiment panel.  For this, I used the 2nd largest square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372) to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics (137154) stamp set in Always Artichoke  ink (126972).  The outline floral image from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set (143940) was stamped with Peekaboo Peach ink (141398) for the flower and Lemon Lime Twist (144086) for the stem.  I then inked the filler stamp with Peekaboo Peach and stamped on top of the outline image.

Once all the stamping was done, I cut another piece of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper using a scalloped die from the Layering Squares Framelits and attached the sentiment panel to it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This was then placed on top of the floral panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).  The last step was to add a few Enamel Shapes Subtles (141679).

I hope you enjoyed this card – if you have any questions about how I made it, please drop me a comment below and I will be happy to answer them.  Now on to the rest of the hop!  You can click either of the buttons or click on a name in the list below.  Ta ta for now
