Country Lane Boxed Card Set

Continuing with our Christmas giftables, tonight I thought we would make a boxed card set featuring the Country Lane DSP. The lovely box was originally designed by Sam of Pootles Papercraft and it is so easy to make. The cards are clean and simple, perfect for writing a quick note. I think you will really like this quick project!

And, here is the video showing just how easy it is to make this set:

Details:

Cardstock cuts – 8″ x 8-1/2″ and 7″ x 4″

DSP cuts – 2 pieces cut 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, 2 pieces cut 5-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ and1 piece cut 1-3/4″ x 3-3/4″.

I hope you enjoy the video and will give this project a try.  You can order the supplies by clicking on the item(s) below which will take you directly to my store!  Thanks for watching!

Fall Migration

Sometimes, nature provides the best inspiration when it comes to cardmaking.  I looked out my window this morning and realized that in a few weeks the geese will be migrating, the trees will have dropped their leaves and frost will be in the air.  With that visual in mind, I went to my craft table and came up with this ultra-simple card.

This card uses very minimal supplies.  The trees are from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set, the geese are from the High Tide stamp set and the sentiment is from the First Frost stamp set.  I used Soft Suede ink for al the stamping.  The sentiment panel uses the die from Storybook Scene Thinlets dies.  I cut a second one out of copper foil to give it some grounding.  Copper ribbon completes the front panel which was then mounted onto Merry Merlot cardstock.  I wanted to keep the front panel monochromatic and I love the depth the Merry Merlot base it gives it.

If you have any questions about the card, please leave me a comment below and I will be sure to answer it.  Should you need any of the supplies, just click on the image in the supply list below to order.  Thanks so much and I hope to see you during our Facebook live today at 3 pm ET!

Peaceful Reflection – For the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Just got back from OnStage local here in Atlanta and oh you are going to love the new catalog!  So many new beautiful stamp/die sets, brand new in-colors that are fabulous and a color refresh that is absolutely gorgeous!  And all just in time to use for this month’s inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!

So, without further ado – here is one of those stamp sets that you know you want from the moment you lay eyes on it.  It’s called Peaceful Reflections and I thought it was perfect for our feminine theme.

The card base is a returning color – Mint Macaron – which is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″ for a side folding card.  I then took a 4″ x 4″ square of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and sliced it in half on the diagonal.  Each triangle was then fixed to the card base leaving a narrow border of the Mint Macaron to show throw.  This left a gap in the middle over which I attached about 7″ of of the Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon (I am so happy this carried over) using Mini Glue Dots.

Next it was time to work on the design panel.  I used one of the new Delightfully Detailed Note Cards, cutting it in half and using the front.  Love the softness and how the color fades, making it look like water.  Less work for me LOL!   I started with the large water rings from the Peaceful Reflection Stamp Set inked in Pool Party.  I then inked the bottom layer of the water plant using So Saffron and stamped it down.  The top layer of the water plant was inked in Pear Pizzazz.  I just love layering stamps, don’t you?  Then it was time to stamp the dragonflies.  The bottom layer is inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and the wings filled in with the second layer inked in Wild Wisteria (I will miss this color but love the new purples they came out with).

The sentiment is from the Love What You Do Stamp Set.  I inked it in Pool Party to tie in the water rings below and stamped it in the upper right of the design panel. A quick brush of Wink of Stella on the water plant and dragonfly wings and the card was almost done.  For a finishing touch I added 3 rhinestone accents.

I hope you enjoyed my card, and seeing some of the wonderful new things that will be available for our customers to order starting June 1st.   There’s much more to come, so stay tuned!
