Swing into Summer

While we all wait patiently for our new goodies to arrive, how about playing with a favorite stamp set that may already be in your collection?  I just love this swing and couldn’t wait to try it out with a summery feel in Lemon-Lime twist.

Yes, I cheated a little as I already had the new in-color since I preordered the Eastern Palace suite when it became available.  Ok, actually I cheated a lot as the DSP is also new and you had to be a demonstrator to preorder it but couldn’t wait to show it to you – it comes in all the new in colors and I know you are going to love it too!

But let’s talk about how the card was made.  It starts with Whisper White cut to be a top folding card.  The front is then covered with Color Theory DSP in Old Olive followed by some of the new Fresh Florals DSP in Lemon-Lime Twist cuton the diagonal and placed at the top and bottom corners.  The focal image is from the Sitting Here stamp set and is stamped in Lemon-Lime Twist on a stitched rectangle which was matted with another piece of the Color Theory DSP in Old Olive.  The cute pillows were stamped onto a scrap piece of the Fresh Florals DSP (the reverse side of the floral images – so versatile!) and then cut out and glued down.  To balance out all the white, the oval piece was sponged with Lemon-Lime Twist and the sentiment stamped in Versafine ink.  This was adhered to the focal panel with dimensionals.  Three enamel dots in the upper right corner of the focal panel finish the card out perfectly!

I hope you enjoy this card and if you have the stamp set already in your collection, why not “swing into summer” by making one yourself?
